Super Early Forecasts For The 2025 Krewe of Centaur Parade
The Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras Parade will roll in Shreveport on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025. Rain or shine...as always.
But obviously everyone is rooting for the shine.
We're just under two weeks away from the parade, which means people are starting to look at the forecast. Both riders and revelers are concerned about what the skies will be doing that Saturday afternoon. The temperature could be a concern as well, with the recent run of winter weather the Ark-La-Tex has been seeing.
So what are we looking at right now?
As of the time of this writing (2/12) the Weather Channel's 10-day forecast for Shreveport shows a less than 25% chance of rain on parade day:
Lows are projected to be in the 40s, so post-parade will need to include a jacket. But I think EVERYONE involved will take a mix of sun and clouds with upper 50s and low 60s for the parade weekend.
Interestingly, if you pop over to AccuWeather.com, they tell a little different story.
They show rain on Friday, with highs not escaping the 40s, followed by mid-50s and clouds on parade day. That seems like a pretty large swing between the two national forecasters.
But none of that is as wild as this online forecaster who posted that Shreveport will be seeing heavy SNOW on parade day. While not any form of "official forecast", its wild to put that out into the universe like that.
So obviously we're going to have to wait until we get closer to the parade to know what kind of weather to expect. But the weather watching has already started.
