Following the death of Eagles co-founder Glen Frey in January, fans everywhere wondered what would this mean for the band and its remaining members. Well, the answer came late last week, and for longtime followers of the iconic group, the news isn't good.

Late last week the band's other founder, Don Henley, told an interviewer that the Eagles' musical tribute to Frey at the recent Grammys was almost called of because it was so difficult emotionally.

Said Henley:

"That was the final farewell. I don't think you'll see us performing again. I think that was probably it. I think it was an appropriate farewell."

The Eagles were formed in 1971. Their final public performance was at Bossier City's CenturyLink Center on July 29, 2015.
