Seattle area brewer Elysian Brewing has released a bit of Hysteria with their new brew.  Def Leppard Pale beer is being released in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the bands landmark album "Hysteria."  According to Elysian's website, the beer fuses the "infamous malt bodies of British ales with the mysteria of Pacific Northwest hops."

The official release is timed to coincide with the launch of the massive Def Leppard and Journey tour that kicks off May 21st in Connecticut.  If you'd like to sample the special brew, I've got good news!  It will be available when Def Leppard pulls in to Smoothie King Center in New Orleans August 27th.

I'd like to see a Louisiana band or artist honored with their own beer.  I'm thinking Dr. John's "Right Place, Wrong Time" Stout, or Zebra's "Wait Until Summer's Gone" Shandy.  Let me know who you think deserves their own brew in the comments.
