Volunteer Your Time & Talents During Shreveport’s ‘Day of Caring’
The United Way of Northwest Louisiana is once again hosting the organization's largest, single-day volunteer event, their 'Day of Caring.'
So how big is this Day of Caring?
It's big... As in, last year, over 600 volunteers participated big. This year, they want to grow even bigger! The United Way of Northwest Louisiana has announced they'll hold their annual 'Day of Caring' Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Bossier Civic Center.
So, how do you get involved? I'm so glad you asked! The United Way of Northwest Louisiana wants you to put together a team for their Day of Caring and show up ready to work!
This year's project might be their most ambitious yet. The goal is to assemble 2,500 essential needs kits, create 10 community gardens, clean up 10 communities, create 5 Born Learning Trails, and complete several projects for our local nonprofit friends. Getting all of that done in one day is no small feat, that's why this year's theme is 'Volunteer for the Gold.'
Not only will you and your team feel a sense of accomplishment for helping folks out, but you'll also be eligible for prizes as well! After all of the kits are packed and needs are met, the United Way is hosting an afterparty with lunch, karaoke, games, raffle prizes, and more.
The deadline to register your team for the 'Day of Caring' is Monday, March 20th, so get your friends together and click here to enter your team!
