Caddo sheriff's detectives have scheduled a fundraiser to benefit the family of a baby born severely premature.

According to the sheriff's office, Rowan Cade Davis was born in September, but arrived 17 weeks early -- weighing only 1 pound, 2 ounces. She remains in the hospital and continues to grow, but faces many difficulties ahead.

A jambalaya fundraiser is set for Saturday, December 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Blanchard Wal-Mart, located at 4701 Northport Blvd.

Tickets are $7 and can be pre-purchased by calling CPSO Criminal Investigations at 681-0700, or by stopping by the Detective's Office at 5906 North Market, the CPSO south substation at 9956 Mansfield Road, or the north substation at 11141 Hwy. 1 North in Oil City.

Purchases of 10 or more plates can be delivered. If you want to support the fundraiser, but are unable to attend, tickets can be purchased and donated to homeless families with children at Providence House.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Rowan's family.
