Crime Stoppers Tip Leads To Arrest In Break-In At Landmark Shreveport Restaurant
In late July, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an alarm at landmark Shreveport eatery Anthony’s Steak and Seafood. Upon arriving at the Mansfield Road location, officers found the front glass door of the business had been destroyed and a cash register, containing an undisclosed amount of cash, missing from within the business.
Officers with the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Investigation Unit later retrieved Anthony's surveillance video footage. That footage showed what appeared to be a white male forcibly entering the business and removing the register. Shreveport Caddo Crime Stoppers received a tip that led to the identification and a warrant charging Jeffery Adcock, 54, of Grand Prairie, Texas, with one count of simple burglary. Adcock was later apprehended by Dallas Police, extradited back to Louisiana, and booked into the Caddo Parish Detention Center.
