The entire food stamp system crashed over the weekend. No one could buy anything with their food stamp cards. This caused quite a problem for people trying to do their grocery shopping on Saturday, but it was a different story at two area Walmarts: The food stamp cards were working, but they had no limit.

This must-see video from the Walmart in Mansfield shows buggies piled high with groceries from shoppers looking to take advantage of the EBT glitch.

Walmart managers called corporate offices who told them to honor the cards. Once the word got out, the stores were swarmed with customers. Shoppers piled buggies up as high as they could and began checking out. Shelves that once stocked food stamp program-accepted items were nearly cleared in the shopping frenzy.

Once the system was back up, dozens of people simply abandoned their buggies in the Walmart stores and left.
