Erick Crain has entered a guilty plea in Caddo District Court to first-degree murder for the July 2010 killing of Ernest Luttrell, who was found shot to death in his home on Greenwood Springridge Road in Keithville. Crain has been sentenced to life in prison at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Also in court today, prosecutors filed intention to seek the death penalty for Tina Vanmoerkerque, one of two other co-defendants in the Luttrell murder. She'll return to court August 30th for arguments and hearings. Luttrell's wife, Loretta Moore Luttrell, was also charged with what investigators say was a murder-for-hire. She'll be in court July 27th for arguments and hearings.
