Coushatta residents will be under a boil water advisory tomorrow (Monday).  Workers will start replacing and relocating a fire hydrant and some water meters about 8 o'clock tonight (Sunday).  That work is expected to be finished around midnight.  Once it's done, the whole Coushatta water system will be under a boil water advisory.  This isn't mandatory, but it is recommended that Coushatta residents disinfect their water before drinking it, making ice, brushing teeth, using it for food preparation, or even rinsing foods.  You can do that by boiling it for at least a full minute in a clean container.  The flat taste after boiling can be eliminated by shaking the boiled water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one clean container to another.  The boil advisory will remain in effect until lifted by the State Health Department.
