Shreveport City Councilman Grayson Boucher talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about findings of by the State Legislative Auditor of the City of Shreveport's finances for 2018.

Commenting on the report, which was markedly less than flattering, Boucher says, "Basically, it's just lack over oversight in the accounting department. From not filing payroll taxes on time,to insurance on our money in the bank, it's some very scary things about a city that is teetering on bankruptcy."

The councilman is optimistic that the current administration, which took office earlier this year, is working to correct the problems. "I think that Mayor Perkins and his team have been working with the auditor to...put corrective measures in place and we won't make the mistakes that we made last year."
