Council Prez Says City Committee ‘Doesn’t Pass Smell Test’ [VIDEO]
Shreveport City Council President James Flurry talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the city's Architectural and Engineering Committee, a group that he thinks should be revamped, if not eliminated.
Flurry says that his effort is to "restructure the A&E committee' and that a number of his constituents don't feel the mayor appointed panel is giving them "a fair shake."
The District E rep says, "I'm not saying that Mayor Tyler has done anything wrong,' but he does want to make the committee's actions and activities "more transparent."
In another recent interview, the always outspoken Flurry talks with the KEEL morning team about persistent rumors of a federal investigation into areas of city government.
