Could Local School Be Going Up For Sale?

The Caddo Parish School Board is scheduled to make a decision on Barret Elementary at its regular meeting today (May 17th). Several items will be on the table for the facility including restructuring attendance zones, closing the school and selling it. If the board decides to sell, the asking price would start at a minimum bid of 879 thousand dollars.

If the school is closed and put up for sale, there is already a plan in place to move students to Arthur circle, Stoner hill and Creswell Elementary schools.
