Confederate Monument Vote Delayed Again

The Caddo Parish Commission Citizen's Advisory Committee has once again delayed a vote on the future of the Confederate Monument in downtown Shreveport. Only seven members of the committee were able to attend the meeting.

John Prime, a member of the board, said that even though the vote is symbolic and non-binding, it is important that every member be present. Last week, a vote was also canceled because all members couldn't attend and were not legally allowed to cast a vote by phone.

The committee is expected to attempt another vote at their next meeting on august 10th.
