Store Clerk Shot During Violent Incident in West Shreveport

Shreveport police are on the hunt for suspects in the shooting of a store clerk on the west side of the city. It happened last night at the Circle K at Jefferson Paige and Pines Road.

Detectives tell KTBS the victim was shot three times, twice in the head and once in the shoulder, with a small caliber weapon. He was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health with life threatening wounds.

This shooting was discovered by a couple of customers who walked into the store and found the clerk on the floor. So far, there is no indication of a robbery, but police will be reviewing surveillance video from inside the store to see if they can get information about what the suspect or suspects did while in the store.

Police have not yet released a description of the suspect.
