The Centenary College Book Bazaar runs through Saturday and it's expected to draw thousands of people to the Gold Dome on the Campus of the local college. I was there Friday when they opened the doors. Some people had been waiting outside in the heat since 10am for the doors to open at 4pm.

This is the 32nd annual year for the event and it features books of every kind. There is a section for school reading lists. You will find vintage children's books in a section of its own. One of the most popular sections we found was the cook books. You could grab up books by chefs from all over the world.  Another popular area was the science fiction section. Folks were digging through that section feverishly.

Take a look at some of the book lovers on day one of this very special event.

Centenary Book Bazaar

Some oddities you might want to know about for this year include a large section of sheet music. This was donated by several local families over the past year.

I also found a wall of photos that were taken from the books. Folks who donated books might want to take a look at this wall to see if you accidentally left pictures in one of the books you gave away.
