It's almost time for the big weekend of music in Shreveport.

Rho Omega and Friends presents the Let The Good Times Roll Festival beginning Friday night at Festival Plaza.

The festival runs through Sunday with a full slate of great musical entertainment including Crystal ThomasTK Soul, and Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band.

Saturday night you can catch Carla Cooke, the daughter of legendary singer Sam Cooke. Not only will she be performing some of her father's classic hits like Another Saturday Night, You Send Me, Only 16 and Change Is Gonna Come, but she will sing a variety of her favorites.

Mayor Adrian Perkins will apologize to Carla Cooke for the treatment of her father while he stopped in Shreveport in 1963. We had a chance to chat with Carla about this show:

Other big time headliners for Saturday evening include classic hip-hop duo Whodini, R&B crooner Jon B, up-and-coming R&B singer Kenny Iko, and singer and reality TV star Azia.
