KTAL is reporting that multiple Capital One banks across the Shreveport area will be temporarily closed due to the ongoing COVID-19, or coronavirus, outbreak. The report of closings does not include a timeline for reopening.
The locations listed for temporary closure include:
Ellerbe Road
North Market Street
Shreveport Main Branch
Greenwood Road
The locations that will be closing their lobbies, but will have drive through services include:
Minden
Haynesville
Airline/Shed
Southfield
South Shreveport
I-20 West
Homer
The report also indicates that all Capital One ATMs will remain open and operational during these closures.
These closures are just part of an ongoing effort to limit the spread of COVID-19. The State of Louisiana has closed schools across the state until April 13th. Louisiana has also placed a ban on public gatherings of 250 people or more, while also placing restrictions on casinos on a property-by-property basis. The city of New Orleans broke up multiple public gatherings over the weekend as well.
