Caddo Superintendent Dr. Lamar Goree Wants BESE to Act Now
Caddo Superintendent Dr. Lamar Goree wants BESE to act now.
Goree tells us the parish wants some relief from the "opt out" penalties for students who do not take the PARCC tests next month.
Dr. Goree tells KEEL News "teachers, schools and the school district would be penalized under the current plan."
He adds that if a school has just ten students opt out, a school's score could drop significantly on the state accountability program. He wants BESE to meet as soon as possible to address this concern.
