Caddo Parish Republican Party Chairman Louis R. Avallone and Democratic Party Secretary R.J. Johnson talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the Shreveport mayor's race, what they hear from their constituents and is there any last minute voter movement.

Both party leaders tell KEEL listeners that a number of city voters are waiting until the last minute to make their decision, saying that both Shreveport Democrats and Republicans are not only undecided, but considering casting ballots across party lines in what may be record numbers. Says Avallone, "I hear it all the time. I vote for the person, not for the party. People are mainly interested in change."

Johnson, meanwhile, says that one of the keys to this year's race is "talking about issues that millennials care about. It's important for millennials to hear, 'Hey, we have a plan for you.'"
