The sheriff's department also deployed K9 Nero and handler Deputy Mendolia, who tracked the second, and then a third suspect. Deputies then located a fourth suspect later near the apartment complex.

During their investigation the Sheriff's department recovered 4 guns and 2 stolen vehicles. All 4 teenage suspects are believed to be responsible for several vehicle burglaries that occured in Blanchard and north Shreveport earlier Tuesday morning.
