Byrd JROTC Team Finishes High in National Competition

Congratulations are in order for the Byrd High School Junior ROTC Marksmanship Team.  Here's an accounting of their success as provided by Byrd ROTC Instructor LTC Roberts:

The C. E. Byrd Army JROTC Yellow Jacket Brigade Marksmanship Team would like to thank everyone for supporting them during the National Championship run in Salt Lake City. The team left with the ranking of 20th in the nation. Considering this was nationwide, this was huge due to us doing better only once in the last decade. Stormy Sanders ended up 9th in the nation (competed against thousands). If you see all those other schools ranging from Germany, Hawaii, New York and then see C. E. Byrd on the score board it meant a lot.
