The man accused of killing 12-year-old Justin Bloxom won't go to trial this summer afterall. Desoto District Judge Robert Burgess has delayed things because of too many pretrial motions.

Brian Horn of Keachi was set to go to trial in Lincoln Parish on August 1st, but the Judge has sent the District Attorney and the defense attorney a letter outlining the pending motions that still have to be resolved. Many of these motions will be heard on August 1st. The case is being handled differently from most other cases. The jury is being selected in Lincoln Parish but will be transported to Mansfield for the trial. No new trial date has been discussed. The 35 year old Horn is charged with first-degree murder in the March 30, 2010, death of Justin M. Bloxom, a North DeSoto Middle School student. Horn could get the death penalty if he's convicted.
