Suspect Search Leaves Plain Dealing Schools on Lockdown

[UPDATE] Law enforcement officers have caught three suspects wanted for a residential burglary near the schools.

School officials are working on dismissing students now.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Carrie Martin Elementary and Plain Dealing Middle/High School are on restricted movement while police search for a couple of burglary suspects.

At least two people tried to break into a home near the schools, and we're told one of them has been caught. None of the students are in any danger. The schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.

According to Bossier Schools Liaison Sonja Bailes, bus departures from both schools may be delayed. Students will not be allowed on the buses until law enforcement gives the all-clear. Parents who pick up their kids are being told to wait.
