Bossier Parish Community College and Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB) have developed a Memorandum of Understanding in which current BAFB airmen and their immediate family members may attend regular season intercollegiate athletics and performing arts events on the BPCC campus at no charge.

The signing of the agreement will take place at 9:00 am Friday, December 4 at BPCC in the Chancellor’s Boardroom (A-230) on the College’s campus, 6220 E. Texas St., Bossier City, LA.

According to the agreement:

BPCC & BAFB share a mutual interest in fostering relationships that promote the holistic development of students and airmen. Thus, they provide recreational and cultural opportunities to their respective constituent groups….and [they] agree that allowing current, active-duty Barksdale airmen and their immediate family members to attend regular season intercollegiate athletic and performing arts events on the BPCC campus benefits each entity.

USAF Colonel Kristin Goodwin and BPCC Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. will speak on the benefits of this agreement as well as the benefits of the partnership between BPCC and Barksdale.
