A 26-year-old Shreveport man has been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler. Police say Tristan Anderson has been booked on a charge of first-degree homicide. Sergeant Jim Taliaferro says the case began to unfold Wednesday evening when 28-year-old Tamera Summerfield went to the police station to file a missing person report her 2-year-old son, Ja'Marsay. Last evening, detectives went to the house on Panetella Lane where Summerfield and Anderson lived. While doing a welfare search around the residence, they found the toddler's body in a locked storeroom next to the carport. After a series of interviews, detectives determined that 2-year-old Ja'Marsay Summerfield was last seen in the custody of Anderson. They arrested him and booked him into the city jail on a charge of first-degree homicide. Taliaferro says the investigation is continuing.
