Suspect Arrested in Bossier After Man Is Found Dead
Bossier City police rushed to a local shopping complex early Thursday morning after workers arriving to their jobs spotted a man dead in the parking lot.
Bossier City officials issued a statement about the case:
Thursday morning, May 25 the Bossier City Police began an investigation after the body of a deceased male was located at the Bossier Crossroads Shopping Center located at 1700 Old Minden Road.
The initial investigation by detectives indicates the victim suffered from several cuts or lacerations. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Jarakeen Williams. Officers were able to track evidence to determine that Williams and another man had been involved in an altercation overnight at a home in the 1000 block of Princeton Avenue in the Central Park neighborhood. Williams was reportedly stabbed during that fight, but managed to flee from the scene of that incident. But he only made it to the Bossier Crossroads Shopping Center where he collapsed and died in the parking lot near PEG & Co Fine Jewelry not too far from Ralph & Kacoo’s.
Just a few hours after the body was discovered, detectives arrested 25-year-old Wilmer Alexander Ordonez Galeas, He is charged with 2nd degree murder. Galeas was booked into the Bossier City Jail where he is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
