Bossier High is going to be experiencing some big changes on the basketball court very soon. Coach Cherise Sims announced that she is taking on a job in Houston, Texas as a physical education teacher and according to Shreveport Times Coach Sims is looking for something different.

Whatever coach steps into coach Cherise Sims' shoes have their work cut out for them. Sims hustled and brought the Battle on the Hardwood Basketball Classic to life in 2016. The classic is a Shreveport-Bossier high school basketball tournament that helps support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness. Over 40 teams come to Shreveport-Bossier City annually for the event which is great news for our local economy.
