Bossier Firefighters ‘Go Pink’ for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bossier City firefighters are once again donning pink in recognition.
Many firefighters and staff will be wearing specially-designed black pullover polos that feature an embroidered pink BCFD patch, pink ribbon on the right sleeve, name and rank in pink, and large pink ribbon on the back.
Fire Chief Brad Zagone is giving firefighters the option to buy the shirts to wear while on duty this month. This is the third year the group will be wearing Breast Cancer Awareness shirts during the month of October.
The fire department is also continuing to sell its BCFD Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts to the public to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Northwest Louisiana affiliate. CLICK HERE to find out more about those.
