Not a whole lot of tickets written yesterday at a Bossier City checkpoint. The police department conducted the checkpoint in the 700 block of Barksdale Boulevard from 2 to 6 yesterday afternoon. It focused on seat belt use. Officers checked just over 280 vehicles and issued 17 citations to motorists who weren't wearing seat belts -- and one to a motorist who failed to have a child in the proper safety restraint. Four citations were written for other various non-moving violations.
