Bossier Sheriff’s Office Arrests and Fires Corrections Officer
A Bossier Sherriff's Office Corrections Officer has been arrested and fired.
BSO announced yesterday that one of their corrections officers brought some kind of contraband in to the Bossier Parish Correctional Facility. After an investigation, it was determined that former corrections officer Colton Davis used his power as an officer to bring something he shouldn't have in to the facility.
From Sheriff Julian Wittington:
"The actions of this individual are not representative of the men and women who serve in this office with honor and integrity. We hold our employees to a higher standard and will not tolerate unlawful activity."
Davis is now among those he use to guard and protect, and is awaiting trial.
Davis was charged with 2 counts of malfeasants in office as well as 2 counts of introducing contraband in to a correctional facility.
