[UPDATE] The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has tested the water at Heritage Manor and samples have come back negative for contaminants. The boil advisory put in place there earlier this week has been lifted.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  A water line break has resulted in the City of Bossier City issuing a boil advisory for the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in the 2500 block of Airline Drive.

The affect line feeds water to the nursing home and runs off a water main that runs along Airline Drive line. The Public Utilities Department has notified the nursing home of the boil advisory. There are no other businesses nor are any residences affected by the advisory.

Heritage Manor Nursing Home still had water going to the facility while crews made repairs.  The advisory is a precautionary measure and advises those affected to voluntarily boil their water before consuming it until the health department can test the water. The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption.

The city will notify the media when the advisory is lifted.
