Best Lazy Rivers To Float In Louisiana
If you're trying to beat the heat this summer one of my favorite ways to do it is gathering your friends, stocking a cooler and hitting a river for a little tubing! Below we got a list of some of the best places to go in Louisiana to float the river!
1. Bogue Chitto River
This river has Tubing, Camping, Canoeing and Kayaking all summer long located in Washington Parish not far from Mississippi and Baton Rouge. Plenty of sandbars you can stop at along your journey or just float on along and watch your stress drift away. 2. Amite River
Located in Denham Springs it's estimated that this river usually takes 4 hours to float. Transportation back to your vehicle is included in the tub rental and no need to bring your own cooler you can rent that as well. This one is open only weekends except for July 4th! Click Here for more details!
3. Whisky Chitto River
This river used to be known as No Man's Land because it was home to many outlaws and pirates. Now it's home to beautiful scenery, nature and quartz sand beaches making it the perfect river for Kayaking or Tubing. Located North of Lake Charles you can Click Here for more details.
4. Lazy Rivers for those not into Nature
If being out in the elements aren't your thing there's plenty of man made Lazy Rivers all over Louisiana like Splash Kingdom Waterpark in Shreveport or a few you can get an adult beverage at like L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake in Lake Charles or Blue Bayou Lazy River in Baton Rouge.
