We all joke about Louisiana roads having potholes big enough to swallow a Buick whole, but in truth, the reality isn't far off... I recently drove to Florida and back and our roads were by far the worse out of all of the states I drove through. If it's any consolation, they even have Morris Bart billboards in Alabama.

How is it, that other southern states, with the same weather we battle, are able to keep their roads up so much better? That's probably a question for another day, but I ran across this TikTok and had to share it with you because it made me laugh out loud!

I don't know @w9drivin, but you better believe I've started following his TikTok account. Do you remember the car that was almost swallowed whole by a sinkhole on East Texas near Airline Drive in Bossier City? If not, you can refresh your memory here.

While the majority of our potholes aren't THAT big, has anyone else hit their head on the ceiling of their car heading east on I-20 right around the Old Minden Road exit? That darn bump gets me EVERY TIME! It's no wonder that bad roads in Louisiana cost us nearly $7 billion annually. Yes, that's a billion with a 'b!' When you do the math, our bad roads are costing us right at $2,300 per driver, per year in Louisiana. I don't know about you, but that's unacceptable. I maintain my gravel driveway better than that!
