Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is heading back to Downtown Shreveport for year #8 at the Shreveport Convention Center. This year's event will be August 18th through August 20th.

One of the most exciting guests for this year is Award winning actor Richard Harmon.

Harmon is best known as John Murphy in the CW show The 100. A role which earned him multiple award nominations.

Currently Harmon is appearing as Captain Boomerang (Owen Mercer) in this season of The Flash.

You've also caught Harmon in fan favorite roles like Jasper Ames in The Killing, Richard Sylmore in Bates Motel, Max Borman in Van Helsing, and Julian Randol in Continuum.

Since its start, Geek'd Con has been one of the premiere comic con style events in the state of Louisiana. The event has generated millions of dollars in economic impact to the Shreveport and Bossier City area. While also bringing in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, Star Wars icons, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame members, and horror movie legends.

Over the last 7 events, an estimated 106,000 fans have come through the Shreveport Convention Center to enjoy the festivities. Fans have walked away with one-of-a-kind items, autographs, pictures, and unmatched experiences.

The 2023 dates are going to be August 18th through 20th. Geek'd Con 2023 will follow the traditional Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule. Opening with a Vendor Preview Night on Friday, where the public is welcome to shop from over 100 vendor booths with unique collectibles, hand crafted items, artwork, and more. Vendors from all across the United States come to Geek'd Con every year, and offer a wide selection of items. That doesn't include the tremendous volume of local artists who attend the event every year as well.
