Mike Anderson, President of Advanced Aero Services, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his plans to open a facility at Shreveport Regional Airport, a move that eventually could employ as many as 1,200 workers.

Anderson tells KEEL listeners that the new facility, which will do aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, will initially hire sixty workers and if business grows as expected, could top the one thousand mark in about five years.

The company president adds that AAS will begin operation in a currently existing hanger in the airport's aeropark area, which will also be the site of their future construction.

Hiring is expected to begin in late February or early March and the operation hopes to be up and going by the end of spring.
