Authorities Identify Victim In Overnight I-220 Murder

Authorities are continuing to investigate an overnight murder in Bossier City. Just after 4am, police in Bossier City discovered a vehicle off the eastbound lane of I-220 in Bossier City, near the Airline Drive exit.

Police say that upon arrival at the vehicle, they discovered a female inside. The victim was unresponsive, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have now announced the identity of the victim as 29-year-old Sheniquel Sade Oneal of Shreveport.

The stretch of I-220 from the Benton Rd exit to the Airline Dr exit was closed in the eastbound lane for at least 7 hours. Traffic during the morning drive hours was diverted from I-220 to Viking Drive, and back to I-220. Police created a large crime scene area along the highway, which was a difficult task with thousands of drivers attempting to use the roadway.
