There are still some issues to deal with from the storms that rolled through our state Tuesday. The high water has caused Shreveport trash pick-up to run about a day behind schedule in some areas. All collections are expected to be completed by Saturday.

In Bossier Parish, continued flooding has caused the closure of Gumwood Drive and Butler Hill Road.

And in Natchitoches, Sibley Lake is closed indefinitely because of high water levels. Sibley Lake Boat Patrol says the lake is unsafe for boat traffic, so it's closed to both motorized and non-motorized boats. Sibley Lake boat launches are also closed, as is the Robert W. Wilson Recreation Complex at Northwestern State University. It's hoped it will re-open early next week, but that will depend on the water level at Sibley Lake. Nearly nine inches of rain fell on Natchitoches during the storms.
