SHREVEPORT, LA-    K9 Edy refuses to be outdone by Newcomer

We recently told you about about Shreveport's newest K9 Storm, who after just one week on the job, demonstrated exceptional dedication and effectiveness in apprehending a suspect. K9 Storm located and apprehended a suspect, showcasing the invaluable contribution of police canines to law enforcement efforts.

Well, not to be outdone, K9 Edy, another recent addition to the Shreveport Police K9 unit, demonstrated his proficiency in apprehending a suspect who fled from a traffic stop on March 10. Despite the suspect attempting to evade capture on foot, K9 Edy quickly located and apprehended the individual.

The suspect, identified as 58-year-old T.L. Burns, was arrested and charged with aggravated flight with a vehicle, thanks to K9 Edy.

We are proud of the dedication and professionalism displayed by K9 Storm and K9 Edy and their handlers. Their actions exemplify the vital role that police canines play in ensuring public safety and apprehending suspects.

The Shreveport Police Department extends its gratitude to the community for their continued support and looks forward to the continued success of its K9 unit in keeping the city safe.
