Amnesty Program Underway

For the next few days, the Shreve Memorial Library system will let you turn in those overdue books, CDs, and other things you might have checked out and forgotten to return -- without having to pay the overdue fines.There is a catch, though. You need to bring non-perishable food items which, in turn, will be given to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. But the "Food for Thought" program, as it's being called, only runs through Monday, so you need to act quickly if you want to avoid the fines.
