
Amazon Jobs Already Posted for Planned Data Centers in Shreveport Region
With the big news that Amazon Web Services is bringing 3 data centers to northwest Louisiana, many are wondering how soon the work will start. Amazon reps say things will move quickly.
Some of the construction jobs have already been posted on the Amazon Jobs website.
The company has already listed some of the construction jobs for these projects.

These jobs were posted on February 23:
Senior Construction Manager for Data Center Construction in Shreveport
Project Engineer, Data Center Construction in Shreveport
Senior Operations Manager in Shreveport
The Senior Construction Manager requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science OR 16+ years relevant overall experience in lieu of degree.
This person "is expected to be onsite daily (M-F). Build locations are in the Northwest Region of LA."
The pay for this position is between $125,400 - $187,300 a year.
The Project Engineer position requires experience in construction management with 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science OR 8+ years relevant overall experience in lieu of degree.
The base pay for this job is between $86,400 - $149,700 a year.
The Senior Operations Manager requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. It also requires 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
The Sr. Operations Manager will oversee all budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at the site.
The base salary for this job is between $121,500 - $164,400 a year.

Amazon executives say they expect to start turning dirt as soon as possible. Other jobs opportunities are expected to be posted in the next few weeks. The company says more than 6,000 jobs will be required during the construction phase.
