Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about the success of Operation Broken heart, a statewide effort to arrest child predators that has resulted in putting 165 behind bars in the past twelve months.

The Attorney General adds the the program  is "a culmination of multiple law enforcement agencies efforts that have arrested 63 offenders in the last two months alone."

“Sexual exploitation of kids is gut-wrenching and involves unspeakable things that would shock the conscience of every one,” says Landry. “Operation Broken Heart sends a powerful message to predators across the country – law enforcement will find you and we will protect Louisiana’s children.”

"The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) is a national network of more than 4,500 federal, state, and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies. Alongside the ICAC taskforce, General Landry’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation made 63 arrests between April 1st and May 31st for Internet crimes against children. These 45 suspects were charged for crimes associated with sexual abuse images and videos of children under the age of 13."
