More shocking footage of the historic Red River flood, shot today by Lt. Bill Davis of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office. According to the office, the level of the river at the time this video was shot was 34 feet.

The video includes the following areas:

  • Boat and mooring adrift from Cash Point RV Park.
  • Cash Point RV Park.
  • Arthur A. Teague Substation and boat launch.
  • Inundated structure.
  • Threatened home under construction.
  • Lock & Dam No. 5.
  • Loggy Bayou meets Red River. (You can see the river water entering the bayou.)
  • Red River South Marina.

Both Bossier and Caddo parishes have established sandbag pickup areas, and shelters are being set up across the region by various organizations. The flood waters will continue to rise into the weekend, potentially hitting record highs.
