A Bossier City teenager who tried unsuccessfully to throw investigators off his trail has been arrested in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries. 17-year old William Frank Bias of Bossier City faces burglary charges after detectives with the Property Crimes Unit arrested him for committing several vehicle break ins in the Plantation Trace subdivision in south Bossier City on May 25 and 26.

Bias himself reported to police on May 26 that someone broke into his pickup truck and stole a number of items including two I-Pods, a MP3 player, nearly $500 in cash, his driver’s license and debit card, among other things. However in the course of their investigation detectives learned that Bias made up the burglary because he thought doing so would throw detectives off his trail as a suspect. As a result, detectives also charged him with criminal mischief for filing a false police report.

Bias was booked into the Bossier City and was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum facility. His total bond is set at $21,000.
