A New Constitutional Amendment Could Change Higher Ed Prices
Currently, the state legislature gets to dictate tuition and fee changes for Higher Education. However, that could change when Constitutional Amendment #2 goes to Louisiana Voters. The proposal would give the state's four Higher Education Management boards authority to make changes as needed.
Proponents of the Amendment say that much like in business, colleges need the flexibility to respond to the market and be competitive. The Amendment will be on the November 8th ballot.
