9 Year Old Boy Dies in Tragic Drowning in Shreveport

A child who has died in a tragic drowning case in Shreveport on Sunday (5/30/21) has been named by the Caddo Coroner's Office.

The child was identified as Raymond L. Johnson Jr. The 9 year old boy was found at a home on Ash Drive near Woolworth and Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The boy was found unresponsive around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at the residence.

He was quickly transported to Willis-Knighton South Hospital. Despite life-saving efforts on the child, he tragically died at 7:21p.m.
