Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson recently dropped into Shreveport to provide big donations to 9 different local nonprofit organizations across the area. This big financial gift was directed toward groups that focus on domestic violence solutions within the city.

The initial reaction from the community was not as positive as some might expect. Several individuals expressed dissatisfaction with how the money was allocated and managed...with plenty online accusing the donations of being a money laundering scheme.

Not really the way you'd like your big donation talked about, right?

50 Cent's Shreveport Backlash

After some in the Shreveport community expressed their displeasure, or conspiracy theories, 50 Cent took to social media today to address the negative feedback. He expressed frustration over the situation, and openly questioned his future involvement in local charitable giving.

His public statement included the following message to his followers:

"I’m disappointed in how the political people in SHEREVPORT are responding to me making donations to 9 different nonprofits. ‍♂️it feels negative maybe I just don’t do that again! nobody’s gonna let you tell them what to do with there money. WTF"

It remains unclear if this event will permanently halt his financial investments in the area moving forward.

Shreveport's History Of Community Dissatisfaction

This type of public reaction aligns with a historical pattern of behavior within the city limits. Residents, and even political figures, frequently find reasons to criticize anything positive that happens in the Shreveport area. They will spend more time finding a reason NOT to do something, than how long it would take to fix a problem.

There is an established track record of the community rejecting progress at nearly every turn. Shreveport will not be happy unless they're miserable.
