Let's face it, Shreveport Bossier isn't for everyone. There are some things that took me getting used to when I first moved here. Here are five reasons you should never ever move to SBC!

1. You Will Never Be Able to Decide on a Favorite Beer

With some one of a kind craft breweries here in SBC, you'll be able to convince the beer snob of the family to venture out. Great Raft Brewing, Red River Brewing Company, and Flying Heart Brewing don't just have cool logos, the beer is definitely something that will keep you going back for more. Want to drink your beer at home? Check out the beer selection at Brookshires on Line Ave. You can also go to Brewniverse for their huge selection of beers and get supplies and brew your own beer at home.

2. You Will Be Spoiled By All of the Food Options

From Herby K's famous Shrimp Buster plate to The Blind Tiger's Cajun/Creole menu you'll definitely get your Louisiana food fix. Some of the best Mexican restaurants like El Cabo Verde and Los Amigos call SBC home. Real BBQ and More will have you saying "Oh my!" yup that good. The Halal Guys is always a killer spot for a gyro or falafel. The different types of foods you can try within a 20 mile radius is unreal.

3. SBC is Way Too Child Friendly

If you need to take the kids to blow off some steam and go home tired out, Air U Trampoline is an amazing spot to take them. The Jubilee Zoo will have your kids asking if they can bring the goat home from the petting zoo. Splash Kingdom will leave all of you tired out. Basically, your kids will have a new spot that they just "need" to go to every weekend in SBC.

4.There Is No Escaping the Art Scene

If you have kids, the Sci-Port: Discovery Center is the perfect place to take the entire crew. They have over 290 hands-on exhibits and programs. It's perfect for all ages and all sizes, your kids will love exploring the world of mathematics, technology and science. Want a fun unique date night? Art Space and Shreveport's largest Museum the R.W. Norton Art Gallery always have new exhibits up, and live music too! There is the Norsworthy Gallery where you can see some local artists work. You can see vintage aircraft's at the Barksdale Global Power Museum. Do you smell that? No it's not the Red River, it's culture!

5. There Is Too Much to Do On the Weekends

The days of staying in and watching Netflix and Hulu because there is nothing to do are now officially "an excuse". Although nothing beats the cold AC on a summer day and a marathon of your favorite show, there are fun and exciting things to do! The new dog park has folks in the SBC delighted, finally play dates for the pups! There is always a farmers market happening, sometimes there are three different ones happening at the same time. That one artist you swore you'd see in concert is bound to have a show in Shreveport. There is no shortage of live music in SBC. Weekend dates will never be the same! The Sand Bar has adult beverages and arcade games, the Robinson Film Center has old school movies with great food.
