10 Worst Cars Of All Time!

Edmunds.com is out with a list of the worst cars of all time. What do you think of the list?

10th-worst: 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Diesel

This hideous looking station wagon was a diesel version of the popular Cutlass, but customers had so much trouble with it, that it was discontinued after just 1 year.

9th-worst: 1957 Trabant

I've never heard of this loser mobile. This was an East German car and thank goodness it never made it to my driveway.

8th-worst 1982 Cadillac Cimarron

The 1982 Cadillac Cimarron was a symbol of what was wrong with GM in the 1980s, an effort to compete with BMW by redecorating the front-drive, four-cylinder Chevrolet Cavalier and calling it a Cadillac.

7th-worst: 1958 Edsel Corsair
I'm too young to remember these, but my Dad had one. Experts say the styling wasn't what people wanted -- the marketing of a brand that allegedly competed with Buick and Oldsmobile was way off and the production was often flawed.

6th-worst: 2003 Saturn Ion

I'm shocked we never had one of these.

5th-worst: 1971 Chevrolet Vega

Yes, we had this car. My brothers drove the wheels off of it. But it sure did break down a lot.
The Edmunds folks say this was the car that invited Americans to buy Toyotas and Hondas.

4th-worst: 1987 Yugo

The Serbian-made Yugo shows up frequently on worst-car lists. Edmunds.com ranks the 1987 Yugo as the fourth-worst car ever made. I think this should be a contender for #1.

3rd-worst: 1955 BMW Isetta

Never heard of this one......BMW "built the atrocious, single-cylinder, 12-hp, one-door Isetta for 7 years," Edumunds.com writes "The whole car was a crumple zone."

2nd-worst: 1974 Ford Mustang

The Mustang is an iconic car with a rich past, but Ford stumbled in 1974 and created one worthy of being called the second-worst car in history.
Certainly in retrospect, the concept of a Pinto-based Mustang does not make a lot of sense.

The worst car of all time: 2001 Pontiac Aztek

This is the car that destroyed the 84-year-old automaker. That's the reason this monstrosity is tops on the worst list.

Cars that I think should be on this list: the Pacer and the Pinto.
