The holiday shopping season is getting a pretty early start this year, because the COVID-19 pandemic has cast doubt on the traditional Black Friday shopping experience. Many stores this year are starting some of their Black Friday deals now, and creating a rolling Black Friday set of deals, instead of your "doorbuster" type deals reserved for the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Additionally, many Americans will be looking to do the majority of their holiday shopping online this year, partially due to the pandemic, but also because of the ease of shopping from home. Cyber Monday has already become a big deal every holiday season, but with the pandemic push, many people who would traditionally buy in-store gifts will be forced to order online.

Either way, people will be shopping for holiday gifts this year. The pandemic can't stop that. Because of that, the folks at the personal finance website WalletHub have projected out the holiday budgets for 570 cities across the United States. So where do Shreveport and Bossier City stack up in the list of the 2020 Holiday Budgets by City?

Neither city have the biggest budget in the country, that belongs to Pal Alto, California. Their average holiday budget is $3,056. In fact, Bossier City and Shreveport have much lower holiday budgets.

Bossier City comes in at #407 on the list, with an average holiday budget of $590, while Shreveport checks in on the list at #438, with an average holiday budget of $563. Only a $27 different between the two cities, putting them in essentially the same place.

The lowest city on the list is Albany, Georgia, who is listed as having an average holiday budget of $50 for this year.
