The recent stretch of severe weather in the Ark-La-Tex will continue today.

After recently dealing with tornadoes, tennis ball sized hail, strong winds, and flooding rains for the last few weeks, the Ark-La-Tex will get another blast of severe weather today. Including advisories for strong winds and hail once again.

A Special Weather Statement was issued for our area by the National Weather Service. The NWS has also issued a Flood Warning for Bodcau Bayou at Bayou Bodcau Lake in Webster and Bossier Parishes, and for Bayou Dorcheat near Springhill in Webster Parish.

At this time, there are Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in East Texas for a line of storms moving towards the Shreveport and Bossier City area.

This is the first wave of severe weather expected in our area today. Forecasters believe this weather will continue through the day, with even more dangerous weather coming tonight after dark.

You can listen to our station on-air and online to stay up to date with the latest watches and warnings issued by the National Weather Service.
